About Laura

He began his musical studies at the age of 4 at the Municipal School of Fine Arts (EMBA), located in the city of Veracruz. At 5 years old, he began to study piano at that same institution, under the tutelage of the teacher Mara Molina, and at 8 years cello under the tutelage of the teacher Alfredo Escobar. At the age of 11 he joined the "Daniel Ayala" Youth Orchestra, being the youngest member of the orchestra. He participated in the tours 2008, 2009 and 2010 of the Children's and Youth Symphony Orchestra of Mexico (OSIM). He has stepped on stages such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Sala Nezahualcóyotl (UNAM), Sala Blas Galindo (CNA), Teatro Degollado (Guadalajara), Teatro Alcalá (Oaxaca), Teatro Ignacio de la Llave (Orizaba), Teatro Pedro Díaz (Córdoba) , Clavijero Theater (Veracruz), State Theater (Xalapa), Telmex Auditorium (Guadalajara), Peón Contreras Theater (Mérida), National Auditorium and many others in different states of the Mexican Republic, where he has performed with Symphony Orchestras such as member and soloist, Cello Recitals and Chamber Music. Abroad, The new world center and Shepard & Ruth K. Broad Performing Arts Center in Miami, Florida. In 2010 he entered the Superior Institute of Music of the State of Veracruz, where he studied cello under the tutelage of the teacher Inna Nassidze (2010-2019). He was part of the “Trio Revueltas” for 2 years and gave several recitals with said trio, among which is the series of recitals given in the Winter Holidays of 2011 in Texcoco. He has been a member of the Edo Youth Symphony Orchestra. from Veracruz as a cellist by row and principal of cellos section for 3 years, with which he performed as a soloist in December 2013 with the concert for Violoncello and orchestra in B flat major by Luigi Boccherini. He participated as a soloist with orchestras such as: "Daniel Ayala Symphony Orchestra" in 2008, the aforementioned "Veracruz State Youth Symphony Orchestra" in 2013, the "Boca del Rio Philharmonic String Orchestra" in 2015 and The "Orchestra Xalapa Symphony ”in 2016. He has taken classes with Yumi Kendall, Ilmari Hopkins, David Nassidze, Katie Schlaikjer (Penderecki string quartet), Orlando Espinosa (José White string quartet), Anthony Kitai (Houston University), Jullian Schwartz (Julliard school) , among others. He has worked with conductors such as Jorge Mester, Sergio Cárdenas, Michael Rossi (USA), Donato Cabrera (San Francisco Symphony), Diego Náser (Uruguay), Tito Muñoz (Phoenix Symphony), Guido María Guida, (Italy), Martin Lebel ( France), among others. In 2014 he participated in "Miami Summer Musical Festival" and in November 2015 in the VI week of musical education in the city of Mérida and "Festival Allegra". In January 2015, he attended the improvement week in Aguascalientes taking classes with the members of the Penderecki Quartet and José White. Within her chamber music training she has had the opportunity to take classes with Agnieszka Maklakiewiczk, Caitlin Sullivan, Ana Elashvili, Meena Bhasin, David Kaplan, Ivo-Jan Van Der Werff (The Shepherd School of Music), Penderecki String Quartet (Canada ) and the José White Quartet. She is the Second Place Winner of the National Musical Interpretation Contest "Las notes de Guido" held in the city of Xalapa in July 2015 and the "Young Soloists" contest organized by the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra in May 2015. Currently He works as a violoncello teacher at the Superior Institute of Music of the State of Veracruz.
