About Bonnie
I am a mathematics tutor with over seven years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Finance. My work centers on helping students see mathematics as a coherent system of ideas rather than a collection of techniques. I place strong emphasis on logic, structured reasoning, and clear proof writing. In my sessions, abstract algebra and topology become tools for thinking, not just subjects to pass.
I teach group theory by connecting axioms to symmetry in familiar objects, from geometric transformations to modular arithmetic. Ring theory is explored through polynomial structures and number systems, where we discuss why definitions matter and how algebraic properties emerge from them. For topology, I use intuitive models—rubber-sheet geometry, continuity, and neighborhood structures—to guide students toward formal definitions. Every theorem is approached through discussion before formal proof, so students understand both the “why” and the “how.” I regularly work with university students, including those preparing for rigorous pure mathematics pathways. Many of my students come with strong computational skills but little confidence in abstraction. Together, we build that confidence step by step.
My goal is not only exam success, but intellectual independence. I want students to question assumptions, construct arguments, and defend their reasoning clearly. By the end of our work, you will be developing the habits of a well-rounded and confident mathematician, equipped with both deep theoretical insight and meaningful applied understanding.

My teaching approach is systematic, clear, and focused on efficiency and accuracy. I break every topic into small logical steps so students understand the process instead of memorizing rules. Quick problem-solving hacks help students handle timed exams calmly. Lessons include arithmetic fluency, algebra basics, numerical reasoning, and quantitative analysis. I regularly work with learners preparing for technical fields and data-oriented study paths.
During sessions, we simulate real calculation situations. Students learn how to think under time pressure. I give consistent feedback and track progress carefully. Accuracy always comes before speed, then speed naturally follows. Together we strengthen your mental math skills and build reliable numerical confidence.
