About Rivan
I am a Math tutor with over five years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. I support learners of all ages. Many come with negative experiences. I focus on changing that relationship. Growth mindset strategies are applied consistently. Effort is celebrated. Lessons move at a comfortable pace. Students feel safe to ask questions. Positive reinforcement builds confidence. I work closely with struggling learners. Progress is steady. Fear fades away. Mathematics becomes something you believe in again.

I teach mathematics with a gentle and structured approach. Lessons span school-level topics and advanced mathematics. Abstract algebra and number theory are key focus areas. Proof-based learning is introduced carefully. Students are encouraged to reflect deeply. DIY learners receive focused guidance. I help them develop independent problem-solving strategies. Complex theorems are simplified logically. Understanding is always prioritized. Learning is calm and supportive. Confidence grows steadily. Mathematics becomes a powerful way of thinking.
