I am a first-class honours graduate of Chemistry and I have been teaching Chemistry and Mathematics for over 7 years.

1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I developed an interest in tutoring in 2016 after while still in university. I loved the idea of helping my classmates.
2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I teach chemistry mainly. I love teaching physical chemistry, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. I do not like inorganic chemistry that much because it is a lot of story. lol. I prefer something more technical and brain-challenging.
3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Yes. My high school chemistry teacher inspires me till today. He made chemistry very friendly because he has a friendly personality. That's something I also apply; a teaching process that portrays a nice personality.
4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
Patience is key. Lots of my students on Superprof appreciate me for my patience with them. So patience is a big deal.
5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
One memorable day for me was the day (June 2018) that I was part of the winners of an organic chemistry competition. I saw my mentees cheer me on, and I was able to bring home the win. I came third, but that's a win too.
6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
I faced challenges making the online experience better at some point, but now I have been able to invest in gadgets that make the learning process easier.
7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
I love teaching alot. I taught for free while in school. It's my passion
8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?
Patience and determination. That's the main thing. Patience and determination.
