About Mark

I was a secondary school teacher for thirty years. The first ten of those were in the UK, the last twenty in international teaching jobs in Tanzania, China, Qatar, Bangladesh, and Malawi. In the last two countries I specialized in IB Diploma Economics but taught MYP Humanities in all bar Tanzania. I was a very popular teacher and achieved good results. I am now retired and live in Mexico. I would like to take on some classes because I find I have time on my hands and my brain needs the stimulus. In addition, I have always loved teaching and believe teaching and learning should be fun!

About the lesson

All my teaching is online and I am very happy to have students in different timezones as long as we can work out mutually convenient times.
Lessons will be 60 minutes long and will generally be broken into four quarters.
Typically, the first fifteen minutes will be used to explain principles.
Then there will be discussion of those principles moving on to practical application.
The third section will require practical application of those principles in the form of guided exercises.
The final section will be a round-up of principles and skills learned.
If required, homework will consist of practical exercises to reinforce the content of the lesson or pre-reading of the next topic.
Sorry, I do not offer free lessons: the first lesson is full price.
