About Yuliia

I worked professionally for several years in the business world as well as tutoring students in English and Russian as a second language for nine years. I am capable of teaching languages. My education and professional experience in both education and business have prepared me to contribute to the preparation of Lamar University students to enter both higher education and the workforce.

About the lesson

I have nine years of experience tutoring students between the ages of eight and fifteen years old in Russian as a second language. I had a chance to watch the methods of teaching of a teacher during the lesson. I was able to teach during several months in schools, being supervised by the greatest teachers. My practice was a part of the educational process, so I had to follow the state program. I had to form the basic skills of the four types of speech activity (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). While tutoring the students, I helped them to do their homework, explained grammar, and tried to develop their oral and writing skills. My main task was to consolidate and transfer into long-term memory the theoretical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
