About Dorian
I am a fully qualified (QTS) language teacher from the UK. I teach both children and teenagers in secondary school, and adults in private language institutes. I have experience teaching to all levels, both online and offline. I have the CELTA certificate, PGCE and a Masters in applied linguistics from a British university.
I am passionate about what I teach, namely language and linguistics. In addition to teaching, I enjoy learning foreign languages and traveling. To me, knowing a language is the key to understanding a culture which can open many doors

My lessons are informal and student oriented. I use a communicative approach, encouraging the student to express themselves as much as they can. As the teacher, I guide the student every step of the way, making sure that they improve their pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. I prefer to give my feedback after the student has finished talking, in order to keep the flow of conversation going. The feedback would include mistakes (I encourage self-correction), useful tips for improvement, and extra vocabulary.
Lessons can centre on topics, especially for conversational English, but can also centre on different skills, grammar structures, and situations, for both business English lessons and exam preparation.
