About Samantha
I’m in my final year of a degree in Marine Biology, Ecology, and Biodiversity at Victoria University of Wellington, and I love helping people make sense of the natural world. I explain tricky concepts in plain language, use real-life examples, and make sure you feel confident before moving on. I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience in the field and with data analysis, so I can show you how the science you’re learning connects to the real world. Whether you’re aiming for top marks in NCEA or just curious about marine life, I’ll tailor lessons to your pace and goals.

I keep my lessons relaxed yet focused, breaking down tricky biology and marine science topics into simple steps, using real-world examples, and ensuring you actually understand the concepts. We’ll chat, work through problems together, and use visuals or past questions to build confidence.
Sessions are usually an hour, but I can go longer if you’ve got a big assignment or exam coming up. I’m in my final year of a Marine Biology, Ecology, and Biodiversity degree at Victoria University, with plenty of fieldwork and data analysis experience.
I work with NCEA Levels 1–3 students, and I can also help year 9 and 10 students, as well as anyone keen to learn more about the ocean, conservation, or biology in general.
