About Jeremy
I’m a trilingual student at UCL, aspiring to become a primary school teacher. I have experience working with children and young people both on a one-to-one tutoring basis and within the classroom, having spent a year as a classroom assistant. When tutoring, I seek to adapt to my students’ needs and interests, in order to make lessons as engaging and as fun as possible, so that learning is no longer a task, but an adventure. While volunteering as a coach with Coachbright, I was privileged to receive a creativity award for such a lesson, that explored GCSE trigonometry through the eyes of a secret agent.
As a camp leader, I also have a lot of experience with children and young people outside of the classroom, where I’ve understood the necessity of maintaining interest and motivation in order to participate in activities and to learn.
I am currently studying education and psychology at university and enjoy learning about the best ways to learn and teach. I also seek to put these theories into practice when tutoring. I left secondary education with a bilingual qualification ranging across a number of subjects, sciences and humanities, and have a good foundation in most disciplines. However, my main subjects would be modern languages (French and German), mathematics and English and I am particularly interested in teaching primary students.

Jeremy was an attentive, committed and creative tutor to his year 10 student, who disliked maths. He was always prepared and was able to tailor each session to his pupil's needs, which she was very grateful for. I would definitely recommend Jeremy to tutor again!
