About Vidushi

Hello and welcome! I'm a Trinity College London–certified pianist with a strong background in teaching, composing, and music production. I’ve completed a professional music production course in Mumbai and bring years of experience helping students of all ages develop not just technical skill, but real musical understanding and creativity. My teaching is grounded in classical technique, supported by music theory, and enriched with modern tools like digital audio workstations (DAWs) for those interested in composing or producing their own music.
I provide structured, personalized lessons that are both goal-oriented and enjoyable, whether you're preparing for Trinity grade exams, learning for leisure, or exploring music as a career.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach and How I Share My Knowledge - As a pianist, composer, and music producer with TRINITY certification, EDINBURGH University UK certification and formal training in music production from Mumbai, I bring a well-rounded, structured, and creative approach to teaching. My goal is to help students not only master technique but also develop a deep understanding and love for music.
Teaching Techniques and Methods - I tailor my teaching methods to each student’s level, learning style, and goals.

Some of my core techniques include:
1. Ear Training and Sight Reading: Developing strong listening and reading skills early on.
2. Technique and Expression: Focusing on hand positioning, finger strength, dynamics, and articulation.
3. Music Theory Integration: Teaching theory alongside practical lessons to build a strong musical foundation.
4. Creative Exploration: Encouraging improvisation and original compositions, especially for advanced students.
5. Digital Tools and Production Skills: Introducing students to basic music production using DAWs for those interested in composing and producing.

Structure of a Typical Class - Each lesson is typically 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and level.
A standard class may include:
1. Warm-up Exercises – Finger technique, scales, and arpeggios
2. Repertoire Work – Learning and refining pieces from classical, Indian music, contemporary, or exam syllabi
3. Theory & Ear Training – Interactive exercises and short theory lessons 4. Creative Time – Improvisation, composition tips, or basic production (optional, based on interest)
5. Feedback & Practice Planning – Review and clear takeaways for home practice.
