About Tyson
I am both a passionate learner and a passionate teacher. I have deeply enjoyed working in a school environment and aim to bring both strong academic achievement and practical classroom experience to my tutoring. I am a history lover, as seen in my achievements of a 94 ATAR, Band 6 results in Ancient History and first place rankings in multiple humanities subjects, before completing a Bachelor of Archaeology and commencing a Master of Teaching (Secondary).
Working within high school education, I understand syllabus requirements, assessment standards, and what markers look for at a Band 5–6 level. My focus is to build confidence, help refine writing technique, and develop capable independent learners. I have worked with students with a diverse range of backgrounds and love seeing them improve their learning.
You can expect reliability, clear communication, and relevant academic support in every session.

Tyson has helped me throughout my schooling years from year 7-12 especially since we have had similar courses, and his help has significantly improved my work at school.
Highly recommend Tyson as he explains concepts clearly, is patient, and makes learning easy to understand. Since working with him, I’ve gained confidence and improved significantly.
