About Viktoria
My teaching style is quite passionate and sometimes quite abstract as I think of fun and interesting ways to help students remember things. As a person I am very extroverted and friendly so our lessons won’t feel like another school type one, but more of a fun revision session. Although we will cover a lot of content per session, it will not be overwhelming for the students as there will be multiple breaks in-between and different learning techniques throughout. As someone who really enjoyed learning and was an overachiever in school not necessarily because I was super naturally smart but because I always had different ways of making school fun for me and learning new things differently, I hope I can share the same energy and motivation with the next generation of students.

My tutoring lessons are tailored for mostly 14+ years of age as my content of science I teach is more advanced. I believed everyone has a different learning style, but I ensure that I get all my students to think like an examiner and understand the mark scheme so they can maximise their grade. This involves regular quizzes, past papers from the beginning and blurting but this can be adhered to whatever learning style works best for the student. I find at least 1.5 hour sessions are more productive so that in the first half we cover content and in the second half we check understanding and fill gaps. If longer sessions don’t work for the student then I’m happy to do 2 short ones split between 2 consecutive days. I started tutoring in Year 11 to Year 9 students for their science and have continued this until currently as a third year medical student. I am very passionate about this and focus on quality over quantity and so I prefer to have no more than 3 students at a time as I want to be available as possible for them whenever in need.
