About Paul
I have a BSc degree in Honours Biology and a PhD in Botany with a focus on genetics and molecular biology. I have experience working with undergraduate students as a teaching assistant for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year biology courses. I have also had the opportunity to mentor high school and undergraduate students in a lab environment. My area of expertise is genetics but I have experience in a range of biology topics.

My philosophy around teaching is that it is essentially a personalized experience for each student. I put in effort to research the topic before any individual session and try and focus on clarifying the topics at hand. Addressing individual concerns and working with students to answer their questions is my primary focus. With my experience I can often aid in identifying what areas of a topic need further exploration and work with students to plan their learning experience.

Deadly! Paul is super knowledgeable and takes the time to explain concepts well. I was getting tutoring from him for cell bio and he really helped me learn how to figure out how to answer questions.
