About Jesse
A good tutor is someone who not only understands the subject matter but also has the ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that is accessible and engaging. Patience, empathy, and adaptability are defining qualities, as each student has unique learning needs and paces. As your tutor, I will foster a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is an important part of the learning process. With years of experience, my enthusiasm for the subject has proven to inspire and motivate others, helping them to develop their own passion and confidence in the material. As a dedicated student at UBC Okanagan, I completed my undergraduate degree in mathematics and earned a Master of Mathematics in May 2024. I am currently pursuing a PhD in mathematics and machine learning, driven by a passion for math and statistics. Over the years, I have had the privilege of assisting students across various math and stats courses.
