About Me Hi! I’m a dedicated and experienced maths tutor with a Master’s in Educational Psychology from UCL and five years of tutoring experience. I currently work in a primary school, supporting students with diverse learning needs, which has given me valuable insight into different learning styles and challenges. I’m passionate about making maths accessible, engaging, and confidence-boosting for every student. I know that maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, but with the right approach, anyone can improve and succeed. My goal is to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, develop their problem-solving skills, and gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. My Approach to Tutoring I take a personalised, student-centred approach, tailoring lessons to individual needs to build confidence and problem-solving skills. My sessions focus on breaking down complex topics, using real-life examples, and fostering independent thinking. How I Teach: - Engaging & Structured Lessons: Clear explanations, interactive methods, and tailored support. - Exam Preparation: Past paper practice, exam techniques, and time management strategies for GCSE students. - Supportive Environment: Encouraging students to develop a positive mindset towards maths. Lesson Length & Format: - 1-hour online sessions (adjustable based on needs). - Lessons include recap, guided teaching, independent practice, and feedback. Qualifications & Experience - Master’s in Educational Psychology from UCL. - Four years of tutoring experience with primary and secondary students. - Currently working in a primary school, supporting diverse learning needs. Who I Teach - Primary and secondary students up to GCSE level. - Students needing help with foundational skills, exam prep, or confidence-building in maths.
