About Emi
Hi, my name is Emi. I am a fifth-year medical student at University College London, and I also hold a Management BSc from Imperial College London. Alongside my studies, I have built up over six years of tutoring experience, working with students of a wide range of ages and abilities, from primary school through to GCSE level. Over this time, I have delivered more than 500 hours of one-to-one tuition supporting students through the 11+, ISEB pre-tests, and GCSEs.

My method of teaching will be very interactive as I believe it’s a great way to gauge my students’ understanding. I’ll often be asking questions and quizzing them throughout the session so that they’d be able to offer their answers and opinions more confidently. In my experience, doing past exam papers as well as questions is one of the best ways to increase your confidence as a learner as well as hone your exam skills. On top of this, I’m very friendly and sociable so I hope to create an environment where students are comfortable to share their concerns as well as learning needs.
My role is not just to prepare pupils for exams but to help them build lasting confidence, independent study habits, and a genuine enjoyment of learning. In every case, my approach is structured but adaptable. I prepare thoroughly for each lesson, breaking material into clear sections, but I also adapt in real time depending on the student’s needs on the day. Some sessions require drilling core content, others focus more on technique or building confidence. What remains constant is my commitment to ensuring that each student feels supported, challenged at the right level, and steadily progressing towards their goals.
