About Ghouran
My personal journey through Middle and High School was greatly shaped by the support of a dedicated tutor. I've experienced firsthand the inadequacy of traditional teaching methods and am passionate about reshaping students' mindsets to find joy in their learning. Having navigated this journey myself, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning. Through my own studies, I have learned that mistakes are the key to learning. My lessons will have an environment where the student is allowed to make mistakes and encouraged to ask questions. I will teach them to recognize and understand why mistakes were made instead of simply solving them, creating new neural pathways.

Matching every hour of tutoring with an hour of preparation, my lessons will be well-developed and thorough, but simultaneously fun and engaging. I strive for a low-pressure environment, where the student feels comfortable making mistakes and is independently willing to recognize and solve them. I can tutor a wide range of High School math, from Algebra to Calculus, as well as Probability in Statistics. I can also offer tutoring in writing. I believe communications and writing are essential tools to master and are often overlooked. In addition, if your student needs any guidance or direction in the transition to University, I am willing to help with their essays and to discuss my experience.
