About Robert
I am a teacher that never stops working hard for students and am constantly learning myself. My social science area of focus has been in geography and have had the privilege of sleeping in 42 states (my idea of it "counting" for visiting). In addition to teaching, I have been active in the athletic realm. I coached boys' soccer for 13 years including 4 as the Varsity coach. I have also coached JV2 girls' soccer and freshman boys' basketball. Coaching has always been an extension of the classroom and I love working with student-athletes.

I am an active teacher that brings energy and honesty to instruction. I can either use school-issued lessons or develop individualized lessons that capture the essence of what is being instructed and the difficulties that are being faced by the student. No student learns alike and therefore I adjust to the strengths and weaknesses of the student in front of me. My flexibility and depth of knowledge set me apart from other teachers. And, if I don't know the answer, I will work hard to find the answer. My lessons can be modified for students of all ability levels. While my experience is in the social studies at the high school level, I am certified to teach grades 6-12.
