About Daniel
I am a motivated and approachable undergraduate Maths with Finance student at the University of Exeter. I enjoy helping the people around me and take pride in being patient, supportive and encouraging when helping others understand something.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy staying active and play tennis regularly, as well as taking part in other sports. I believe that discipline, consistency and a positive attitude are important both academically and personally.
I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and an A in A-level Maths, and I have a strong interest in helping students develop both their mathematical understanding and confidence. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.

My approach is focused on understanding rather than memorisation. I first identify the areas a student finds difficult, explain the underlying concepts clearly, and then work through examples together before gradually allowing the student to tackle questions independently. I firmly believe that practice makes perfect when it comes to maths and the more exposure a student has to various maths questions the better.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate. I am happy to help with specific topics, homework, exam preparation, or broader revision plans.
My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE Maths students, as well as younger students looking to strengthen their mathematical foundations. As a current university Maths student, I have a strong and recent understanding of the subject and the skills needed to succeed in Maths examinations.
