About Maria
I have a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computation Science at IST and I have experience in facilitating mathematical learning proccesses. From primary topics for younger students to more complex college subjects, there is no need for them to be a unknown puzzle! In my experience, most of the time the problem is related to how one is trying to understand mathematics and I enjoy finding out which point of view fits better each student.

As I have been both the teacher and the student, I have a good overview of how a useful tutoring session should be. In a first contact there is the need to assess which topics represent greater difficulties and why. Then, we can together unravel and understand these subjects, while also working in autonomous learning so that the student can have the needed skills to facilitate their studies.
