About Harshita
I am a Punjab University BSc Anthropology student currently preparing for government exams, which keeps me sharp and disciplined in my own studies. I take teaching seriously, and I understand how much patience and support students need, especially in Math. I maintain clear communication with parents, keep track of the child’s progress, and I always ensure every session ends with clarity, confidence, and understanding. I believe in building trust through consistency. I show up on time, I plan every lesson, and I adjust my methods based on each child’s learning style. My goal is to create a safe learning space where children are not scared of “wrong answers,” but instead feel free to think, ask, and learn.

My Approach as a Teacher
I believe mathematics can be learned best when students are given the space, patience, and confidence to think on their own. My teaching method focuses on gradually building concepts, not rushing to answers. I first explain every topic in a simple, relatable way and then let the student try solving problems themself. I sit with them, guide them step by step, and help them understand “why” a method works — not just “how” to use it.
How My Classes Are Normally Structured
We start each class with a quick recap of whatever was studied last time
New concept is explained in a very easy and broken-down manner
Then the student attempts practice questions in front of me
I encourage them to think, calculate, and reason before asking me
At the end, we revise, and I assign short homework so the concept sticks
What Makes My Teaching Special
I am patient, I don’t rush, and I don’t get irritated when a student doesn’t understand quickly. I take time and sit with them until they truly learn. I focus on independent problem-solving because I want children to become confident on their own — not dependent on the tutor.
Who My Classes Are For
I primarily teach mathematics to school children (primary and secondary classes). Students who are weak, afraid of maths, or need more time to understand concepts find my classes especially helpful. These are also useful for children who like to participate in healthy discussions in class.
