About Eduard
I am a university chemistry instructor and laboratory manager with experience teaching and supporting students across a wide range of academic backgrounds and skill levels. My work involves both classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory management, which allows me to explain chemistry from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
I understand that chemistry can be intimidating for many students, especially when concepts begin building on one another quickly. Because of this, I focus on creating a supportive and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult material at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve grades and test performance, but also to help them build confidence and long-term understanding.
Students describe my teaching style as patient, clear, and adaptable. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to individual needs rather than relying on a single rigid teaching method. Whether a student needs help reviewing foundational concepts, preparing for exams, solving practice problems, or understanding laboratory material, I aim to make difficult topics approachable and manageable.
In addition to teaching experience, my background in laboratory operations has given me strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills that I bring into every tutoring session. I take professionalism seriously and strive to provide lessons that are well-prepared, engaging, and productive.
I work with high school and college-level students, including general chemistry, introductory STEM courses, pre-med tracks, nursing students, and students who may need additional academic support or confidence-building in science subjects.

My approach as a tutor focuses on building genuine understanding rather than memorization. Chemistry can feel overwhelming because many students are taught to simply follow steps without understanding why concepts work. I aim to break complex topics into manageable pieces, connect them to real-world examples, and help students develop confidence in problem solving independently.
As both a university chemistry instructor and laboratory manager, I have experience teaching students with a wide range of backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of preparation. I adapt my teaching style to each student individually. Some students benefit from visual explanations and diagrams, while others learn best through guided practice problems, repetition, or conceptual discussion.
A typical lesson usually begins with identifying the student’s current struggles or goals. From there, I review foundational concepts, walk through examples step-by-step, and then guide the student through practice problems while encouraging them to explain their reasoning aloud. I also focus heavily on common mistakes, test-taking strategies, and building long-term study habits so students become more independent over time.
What sets me apart is my combination of classroom teaching experience, hands-on laboratory expertise, and patient, supportive communication style. Because I actively work in both academic instruction and laboratory operations, I can explain chemistry not only from a textbook perspective but also through practical applications and real scientific experience. I understand that many students feel intimidated by STEM subjects, so I work to create a comfortable environment where asking questions is encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of learning.
My lessons are best suited for:
- High school chemistry students
- General chemistry (Chem I & II)
- Introductory college chemistry courses
- STEM majors needing extra support
- Pre-med, nursing, biology, and allied health students
- Students preparing for exams, quizzes, labs, or homework assignments
I welcome students at different skill levels, including those who feel they are “behind” or have struggled with chemistry previously.
