About Tessa
I just finished my BA in Linguistics, English Language and Culture at the University of Groningen. I have experience tutoring high school students, mostly one-on-one but sometimes in small groups as well. The most important thing in my opinion is giving someone the confidence to use the new language.

My way of teaching is to build up self-confidence. I look for something that the student likes, for example a TV series, and ask him / her to watch it in English with English subtitles and to give a small summary. I also think speaking a lot in English is very important to make the language less scary for the student.
