About Beth
I am currently a 3rd Year Anatomy student at the University of Dundee and have been tutoring for the past 3 years giving lessons in maths from GCSE/Nat 5 level all the way up to 1st year university education. Currently all students I have taught have a 100% pass rate, with my most current student managing to continue her degree in Secondary Education with her new qualification. As I study Anatomy I have a good grasp on biology and biochemistry, being lucky enough to have helped out with tutoring 1st year Dentistry and Sport Science classes in Australia at James Cook University.

I approach tutoring by first looking over the whole syllabus and dividing up sections by those which will require more time and effort towards and areas which may have already been touched upon previously by the student to dedicate and set out a lesson plan across the time from first meeting my student to the examination period. I set a plan, which both myself and the pupil, feels is achievable and comfortable with given time for lessons, practice exam papers, exam technique and extra lessons if required nearer the time of examination. I self - taught my A-level examinations, therefore I have found my own ways in trying to explain maths in ways that some teachers over complicate as well as coming up with helpful ways of remembering complex biological content such as mnemonics, diagrams and patterns.

Beth is a friendly, approachable and extremely intelligent girl who has helped me massively get through my first 2 years of university studying Biomedical Science. She possesses the ability to explain complicated concepts in an easy to understand way and is always patient allowing you to learn at your own pace but also shows a great desire to help you be the best you can be. I honestly do not believe i could've progressed this far or at least with as much confidence as i have without Beth's help. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable, hard-working tutor who will help u to achieve your full potential.
Beth assisted me with biology and anatomy in my first semester of my Dental Surgery degree. She was more than capable of adapting to my learning needs and helped focus on areas that needed improvement. She has a great depth of knowledge and I highly recommend her services.
Highly recommend Beth, a dedicated yet very knowledgeable maths tutor! For someone like me, who did the lowest level possible of Maths in Year 12 I felt very frightened at the thought of having to enrol in a Maths B level at James Cook University, as a pre-requisite for my current course. Beth made me feel comfortable when it came to asking her to go over exercises multiple times, just so it would stick in my head. I had never learnt Algebra and Calculus before in my life and thanks to Beth I can not only say I feel confident approaching it but I also feel like I have achieved something I never thought I would have. Beth tutored me over the semester, once a week, for an hour. But as exams got closer she would help me out a little more and she would always be there for you in her own time in regard to replying to your messages if you ever need that extra help. I am so glad I picked Beth as my tutor, I couldn’t have done it without her.
