About Maurya
I am a Health Sciences graduate from the University of Houston with hands-on experience across clinical, research, and educational settings. I have formally tutored and facilitated coursework at the university level, including leading Organic Chemistry review sessions for undergraduate students as part of the UH College of Natural Sciences. My academic background spans biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and statistics, making me well-equipped to support students across a range of science and math courses.
Beyond the classroom, I have spent years mentoring and teaching youth in community settings, which has sharpened my ability to communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and adapt to different learning styles. My approach starts with understanding how each student thinks, not just what they got wrong. I use diagnostic questioning to identify gaps, then break concepts into logical steps using real-world analogies to make abstract material stick. As a former Organic Chemistry Workshop Facilitator at the University of Houston, I've worked with students across diverse learning backgrounds and know how to adapt on the fly.
