About Barney
I am an ambitious and approachable university student with strong leadership and teamwork experience, currently leading a team of six consultants at 180 Degrees Consulting Nottingham. I was also Head of Marketing at DIVEBOMB Motorsport, where I helped scale digital reach, direct brand strategy, and manage a large creative team. Earlier, I served as Co-Chair of my sixth-form Geography Society, which developed my communication and organisational skills. I specialise in human geography and enjoy connecting academic topics to real-world issues. Curious by nature, I have wide-ranging interests including sport, reading, history, politics, and philosophy, which helps me make lessons engaging and relatable for students.

My lessons are structured around GCSE and A-level Geography specifications, with a focus on clear explanation and building strong conceptual understanding. I adapt sessions to each student’s needs using discussion, practice questions, and case study examples. Lessons can be flexible in length to be tailored to the student's need. I have experience in leadership roles and academic project work, which has created a structured but supportive teaching style. I bring strong subject and general knowledge and an awareness of different learning styles, particularly for students who find traditional classroom teaching challenging. My tutoring is suitable for secondary school and sixth-form students preparing for exams or seeking to improve confidence in Geography.
