About Yasmine
I am currently a 2nd year Nursing student at Queen's University who is passionate about healthcare and helping others. In high school, I developed a strong passion for chemistry and biology, earning a 95% in grade 12 chemistry and 98% in grade 12 biology. I have a strong background in math as well, specifically functions and data management/statistics. I strive to hold myself to the best standards in school in order to provide the best care for my patients, and I will be sure to do the same as a tutor. I will work with you to provide a flexible schedule in which I can tend to your learning needs and help you succeed to the best of my abilities.

When approaching a subject, I like to first build an underlying foundation of the topics surrounding it. For example, if approaching a chemistry problem I like to think of the equations needed, elements in the problem, how they interact as well as the mechanism by which this question will occur. I believe that understanding a subject's concepts as a whole will aid in being able to understand more specific concepts within a course. I also believe practice makes perfect, and like to read notes over, practice questions and quiz myself in order to become comfortable and confident in a courses content in order to succeed.
