About Harry
Hi there, I’m a current student at the University of Exeter. I have tutored family friends during my A-Level studies and get a lot of satisfaction from teaching. I like the feeling of helping my tutee ‘get it’. Maths can be boring, but I will make it fun!

I base each class in a topic that needs to be addressed, chosen by me or the pupil. It could also be based on past papers, if general exam preparation is needed. I will use a spaced-repetition teaching style; shown to improve memory retention significantly more than standard teach-it-once lessons. Most mathematical concepts can be understood easily if they’re explained in the right way, I make extensive use of metaphor and real-life analogy to clarity abstract concepts. I will keep the lessons worthwhile, without long periods of quiet study. For instance by asking my tutee to explain their reasoning and thinking for a question. Everyone is at a different stage and learns in a different way; I will tailor my approach to the individual, their learning style and their i interests.
