About Sweley

I worked as an independent tutor for two years and tutored students at a high school for a year after that. This experience allowed me to develop my didactic skills and adapt them to different learning styles and levels.

My tutoring is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or level. Whether you are a beginner, want to improve your English for an exam, or want to improve a specific language skill such as speaking, reading or writing, I will make sure that the lessons are tailored to your needs.

About the lesson

My approach to English tutoring focuses on improving speaking, reading and writing skills, adapting to the needs and goals of each student. I tutor all levels and ages, and also offer English exam preparation, including IELTS exam preparation to achieve the highest possible score.

Lesson content
In the first lesson I start with an evaluation of the current level and the specific learning goals of the student. Based on that, we create a learning plan together that is focused on achieving those goals. We look at what is needed to achieve these goals and ensure that the trajectory is feasible and effective.

When improving speaking skills, I work primarily with conversation. The more often you speak, the better you become at the language. Through conversations, we increase your self-confidence and fluency. For reading skills, we practice with (exam) texts and targeted exercises that are specifically designed to improve your reading comprehension. Writing skills are addressed based on your writing goals. We work together on assignments that help refine your writing style and structure.

In addition, I offer the possibility to assign homework, so that you can work on your English independently outside of class. This ensures that progress is faster and more consistent.

Lesson duration
The standard lesson duration is 1 hour, but if there is a need for longer sessions, we can always adjust this. I am flexible in adjusting the lesson duration to your learning style and needs.
