About Melissa
As a dedicated and experienced tutor, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals with confidence and ease. My teaching approach combines expertise with a supportive learning environment, ensuring that every student feels valued and understood.
With a degree in Childhood studies and over 4 years of tutoring experience, I have successfully guided numerous students through their learning challenges. I am currently studying my PGDE in primary education, which enhances my ability to provide high-quality instruction tailored to individual needs.
I understand that each student learns differently, and I take the time to build rapport and understand their unique strengths and areas for improvement. My professional background equips me to create engaging lesson plans that not only cover the curriculum but also foster a love for learning.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, focusing on individual learning styles and needs. I employ a mix of techniques, including:
Interactive Learning,Scaffolding: I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, Real-World Applications: I connect lessons to real-life scenarios to demonstrate the practicality of what we're learning.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, which allows ample time for instruction, practice, and questions.
I hold a degree in BA Childhood Studies and have over 4 years of tutoring experience, working with students from elementary to high school levels. My background includes working with children with additional support needs and currently a student teacher which further enhances my teaching effectiveness.
I offer lessons for students of all ages, primarily focusing on those in middle and high school. Whether you're struggling with foundational concepts or preparing for advanced coursework, my goal is to support each student in achieving their academic objectives.
