About Vishal
I'm Vishal, and I have been studying history at the collegiate level for six years now. In 2022 I completed my senior undergraduate capstone in world history as well as some masters coursework in Roman History.
I previously taught World, Classical, and Indian History to middle school students throughout the United States digitally, and as such, I believe both my experience as a tutor and background in academics allow me to teach a wide range of levels and subjects.

While I've done a lot of orthodox schooling, my methods are pretty unorthodox. I am big on visuals and looking at history through the lens of timelines and maps rather than a series of bullet points. I focus on productivity and enjoyability so whatever I teach ends up sticking.
I offer two varieties of lessons: essay/paper workshopping and lectures.
My writing workshops are student driven, so I will be providing constant feedback in a way that allows my students to grow as writers for future classes or endeavors, without making them dependent. I offer classes on history research and historical writing as well.
My lectures involve a back and forth between preplanned PowerPoints, back and forth discussion, and diagrams on whatever topic desired.
My primary focus is high school students and college students in intro history classes, although I may teach middle school students as well. My services are not specifically remedial, and I take significant joy in teaching advanced or bright students.
