About Rima
Hi there, my name is Rima! I'm a Dean's List student at UPenn studying biology and will be heading to Penn Dental Medicine in a few years as a part of their sub-matriculation program. Outside of school, I love to dance, bake, and read. Plus, I love traveling and trying new foods. I have been tutoring in a plethora of subjects for about 1.5 years. I love to learn and always aim to pass on that same passion to my students!

Each biweekly meeting lasts for up to 1-1.5 hours. During the session, I would first go over the topic (via presentation/notes) that the student learns in class for about half of the session. Next, the students can ask questions or clear up confusion they may have with me. Lastly, as a way for retention, I would give the students practice problems in the form of multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions. After the first meeting, part of the teaching component will involve a review of the prior session's topic as well as any important background information for the session's topic. Additionally, I would be available via text or call for any questions throughout the week. I also will be available for more sessions per week leading up to exams, quizzes, etc. I want to be as involved in the success of my students as possible, and that means I am more than willing to dedicate time to ensure they feel comfortable with the material/confident in their abilities. The tutoring I offer will work well for middle or high school students (AP Biology included).
