About Clarinda
I’m a USC-trained, award-winning director and writer who has worked extensively with performers to shape emotionally alive, believable scenes, with a specific focus on comedic writing and performances. I was trained under the Emmy-award winning actor and director Barnet Kellman and am mentored by some of the strongest filmmakers in the industry.

As a director, I know what casting directors and filmmakers look for — actors who listen, play, and bring ideas. Together, we’ll explore how to:
- Ground your performance in moment to moment listening
- Develop subtle behaviors that reveal subtext and truth
- Approach auditions with confidence and clarity of choice
- Analyze scripts like a director to understand what makes a moment land
Bring in a monologue, a scene, or an audition tape. We’ll dissect the text, explore the given circumstances, and build the internal life and physical choices that make the performance real. My goal is to help you feel present, specific, and directable.
