About Julian

Hello, I’m Julian, a recent MD graduate who successfully completed the USMLE Step 2 CK. I know firsthand how challenging exam prep can be, and I bring both personal experience and proven study strategies to my tutoring. As a former peer tutor, I’ve helped classmates strengthen their knowledge, sharpen test-taking skills, and build the confidence they need to succeed. My teaching style is structured, professional, and supportive — I focus on simplifying complex material and making sure you feel prepared, motivated, and reassured at every step.

About the lesson

My teaching style is focused on clarity, efficiency, and exam readiness. I break down complex Step concepts into digestible frameworks and use active recall, QBank strategy, and case-based teaching to mimic the way questions appear on the exam. I emphasize why answers are right or wrong, helping students avoid repeat mistakes.

A typical lesson begins with a quick knowledge check, then a targeted review of a high-yield system or topic (e.g., infectious diseases, psychiatry, cardiology), followed by practice questions and test-taking strategy tips. Each session ends with key takeaways and a focused study assignment.

What sets me apart is that I’ve taken the exams recently, and know exactly what high-yield areas to focus on. As a supportive peer tutor, I tailor my approach to the student’s level — whether you’re just starting Step 1 prep, fine-tuning Step 2 CK performance, or rehearsing for OSCE/NAC exams. My lessons are best for medical students and IMGs who want a structured, motivating, and personalized plan.
