About Chris
I’m a proud 14 year veteran of the New York City public school system who believes meaningful learning only occurs when lessons are relevant and engaging. As a classroom teacher and department chair, I have taught and supported everything from American and Global history to AP US Government and SAT prep. I have two masters degrees, one in Social Studies, the other in School Leadership. My enthusiasm for learning is contagious and I look forward to connecting and sharing my knowledge with you.

I have taught all relevant Social Studies subjects for more than 14 years in NYC. My consistently high Regents Exam pass rate is evidence of my ability to support all learners. My approach to education has always been rooted in student centered, relevant pedagogy. I believe engaging young minds in meaningful and challenging discussions around the connections between history, philosophy, social science and our modern experience is the surest path toward substantive understanding.
