About Marianne

I am a student, who has been learning Violin since the age of 6, I have completed ABRSM violin exams and I have taught violin to beginners before. I also have been learning music theory to Grade 5 standard and can teach it confidently.

About the lesson

I can give lessons to beginners or up to Grade 4 ABRSM violin.
My teaching method is to approach the subject holistically, making sure my students perfect each aspect of playing the violin, such as: posture,bow-hold, and intonation. I use abbreviations and mnemonics to make difficult aspects of theory easier.

Deadly! I have Marianne as a violin tutor and I am really glad about that because she's really good! She completes all the time in the lessons and gives extra sometimes. She's patient and informative and I feel like I have learnt so much from her! She is a great teacher! :D

Strengths: practices regularly for the lessons, good technique and bow hold, learns pieces quickly. Overall a very quick learner. Could improve: intonation, shifts, vibrato and dynamics.
