About Eric
My name is Eric. I’m a fun-loving soul who has a strong passion for spending time with newborns, infants, toddlers, and adolescents. Graduated Nursing school in 2022 and passed the New Gen NCLEX in 85 questions. I worked in the CCU and the PICU. I enjoy seeing the developmental milestones in each stage of life. I enjoying learning from children who carry much energy and joy with themselves. Intiallty, I’ve worked with children since I was in middle school. Working with those with special needs and still a huge contributor with best buddies/special Olympics who I hold dearly to my heart. In addition, in 2020 I start working in the medical field with pediatrics (specifically newborns-toddlers) and in the future possibly pursuing as a family nurse practitioner! I take huge pride in working with children and getting to know them on a individual level and developing a therapeutic relationship with them. Also I enjoy watching them grow and learn as they face life endeavors and wanting to be apart of them learning how to problem solve. I want students to know they are not alone in this nursing path and want them to succeed at the highest level in class andin the clinical setting

Creating a culture of explanation, rather than the right answer. I want students to learn by doing, which results in a deeper understanding of the content in a clinical setting
Examples such as:
Role Play - Students act as patients, nurses, family members in a scenario that also reveals the importance of good and poor therapeutic communication.
Concept Maps - Covering content acquisition, student assessment, or knowledge application.
Compare and Contrast - Creating scenarios using patients with the same symptoms and conditions, and students will discuss how they would treat the patients differently or similarly, including medical interventions and using the nursing process
