About Miranda

Current availability: Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings or during the day any day! Preferably online with the possibility of in-person depending on the location.
I love everything maths and believe everyone is a mathematician, you just need the confidence to show it off! I enjoy teaching as maths education should be accessible to all. With determination and hard work, you can achieve those top grades and reach your highest potential.

About the lesson

I make lessons as engaging as possible and tailor each lesson to my students' needs. I focus heavily on exam technique and encourage students to think creatively and independently. Typical lessons last 1 hour, although I am flexible. I can give independent work to be completed outside of lesson times and marked for the next lesson too. I have taught from primary up to A Level in schools, tutoring centres and online. I achieved an A* in both Maths and Further Maths A Level under the new specification, so I have been where you are now. The biggest focus in my lessons are YOU! You choose what topics we cover, how we cover them and what your long term goals are. Aim high!

Deadly! Miranda has given my daughter 3 lessons, and we have found her to be calm, friendly and reliable. Most importantly, she knows her stuff and is able to explain complex GCSE maths topics in a way that my daughter understands. She feels she has already made good progress with trigonometry, which was a struggle before. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miranda as a GCSE maths tutor.
