About Sofia
Hi! I'm Sofia, an Economics and Environmental Studies student at Washington & Lee University with a 3.98 GPA. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their academic performance, and develop skills that will serve them beyond the classroom.
In addition to my coursework, I am the founder of a nonprofit organization and a student publication, experiences that have strengthened my leadership, communication, and writing abilities. I have also completed internships in finance, venture capital, and business strategy, giving me practical experience applying what I learn in the classroom.
As a tutor, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

I am an Economics and Environmental Studies student at Washington & Lee University with a 3.98 GPA, offering tutoring in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Economics, essay writing, and college application preparation. My approach focuses on building confidence and helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing material.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and may include homework support, test preparation, study skills, essay feedback, and college application guidance. As a student myself, I understand the challenges students face and work to create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome.
I work with middle school, high school, and introductory college-level students and aim to help each student improve both their academic performance and confidence.
