About Floro

Since I began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to Filipino high school students, I have regarded the profession as a personal ministry. This perspective has fostered a strong sense of dedication and an enduring personal commitment to the field. For me, teaching extends beyond the fulfillment of professional responsibilities; it is a meaningful vocation centered on empowering learners through language education. The most rewarding aspect of this work is witnessing students progress from acquiring foundational knowledge and skills to achieving a level of proficiency that enables them to communicate effectively and confidently in English.

About the lesson

I have six years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to Filipino high school students in Grades 7, 8, and 9. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a student-centered approach that emphasizes patience, consistency, and active engagement to help learners build confidence and proficiency in English.

My lessons are carefully structured to meet the individual needs and learning goals of each student. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned concepts, followed by the introduction of new language skills through clear explanations and interactive activities. Students are then guided through practice exercises that reinforce grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking skills. Each session concludes with constructive feedback, targeted recommendations for improvement, and opportunities for reflection to ensure continuous progress.

I believe that language learning is most effective in a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves.
