About Kyra
As a mathematics tutor with over five years of experience and an MSc in Actuarial Science, I combine academic depth with practical teaching methods. My background equips me to design lessons that are both rigorous and engaging. I’ve directed problem-solving workshops where students learn to collaborate and explore multiple approaches. Mathematics competitions have been another area where I’ve enjoyed success as a coach. Working with gifted students and young problem-solvers has kept me inspired and motivated. I emphasize logical deduction, critical thinking, and creative reasoning in every session. These skills matter as much in life as they do in mathematics. My passion lies in number theory and analytical problem breakdowns. Students discover that complex questions can be managed step by step. I encourage learners to embrace mistakes as part of the process. I’ve seen how this mindset transforms struggling learners into confident thinkers. Every problem solved builds both knowledge and self-assurance. To me, mathematics is a puzzle worth exploring. My approach to teaching math is guided by play, curiosity, and encouragement. I personalize each lesson to match the learner’s needs and pace. Game theory is also a favorite, showing how mathematical strategies apply in games and real-life choices. I connect lessons to everyday scenarios so students can see math in action. Parents appreciate the guidance I provide on supporting learning outside the session. Gamers find joy in recognizing how their skills link directly to math. Each lesson is designed to nurture confidence and independence. I encourage students to see mistakes as stepping stones. Over time, they develop stronger reasoning and creativity.
