About Amy
I have been teaching for a long time, over 17 years. I have never lost the ability to engage and I know how powerful it is when someone believes and you and explains things in a way that actually fits how you think. Everyone learns differently, and I love figuring out what makes each student light up. Helping someone go from 'I can't' to 'I can' is a truly magical thing and unlike me, never gets old!
For me, teaching isn't just about the subject, it's about building confidence, curiosity and a real sense of progress.

I teach in a way that keeps you curious, confident and genuinely enjoying every small (or big) step you take. Every lesson is active where we will explore ideas clearly, breaking things down to ensure clarity. I use real examples that bring subjects to life. You won't be just sitting and listening. I promise to provoke thoughts, questions and discoveries!
My sessions are friendly, relaxed and tailored to how you learn best. I shape lessons around what keeps you engaged. I will be able to tell when you are not!
I will set out clear expectations with plenty of encouragement.
My lessons are where mistakes are just part of the adventure. We learn and move on.
My aim is and always has been that learning should feel enjoyable. And I am occasionally cringe so there's that too.
