About Arianna
Hi! My name is Arianna Rambaram, and I grew up in Orlando, FL. I got a full-ride merit-based scholarship to Florida A&M University where I obtained my bachelor’s in civil engineering. I then got a master’s in civil engineering from Purdue University. My high school had a S.T.E.M. magnet program and that is where I began tutoring. I continued tutoring throughout my undergraduate and graduate schooling (e.g., on college campuses, at local churches, at summer camps, at homes or coffee shops for private tutoring, and online for virtual tutoring). While I have enjoyed working in civil engineering, I miss teaching and the fulfillment that came with it, so I have decided to be intentional about incorporating it into my life again.
If you need any sort of math tutoring, feel free to reach out for a complimentary consultation so we can figure out if we are a good fit for each other! Plus, the first session is always discounted :)

Hello! My name is Arianna and I have a deep passion for helping others, especially helping people grasp concepts that have been difficult for them. My past tutees (and their parents and teachers) have praised my ability to re-instill confidence in those I am tutoring. I believe that trait is even more valuable than the fact that I performed very well in math courses during my bachelor's and master's engineering degrees and that I continue to utilize math in my engineering career. I would say that my patient, understanding, supportive nature is what causes me to stand out among other tutors who are also well-acquainted with math subjects.
I customize my tutoring style to each tutee, but generally my approach is:
1) Understand where the tutee is currently at in their math course, what teaching style they have experienced from teachers/professors thus far, and what topics have been difficult for them to grasp.
2) Produce short, low-stakes assessments throughout the sessions to gauge the tutee's understanding and see where gaps may persist, while ensuring their confidence is maintained or strengthened. Depending on preference of tutee, assessments can be gamified.
3) Allow tutee to do problems on their own. Eventually I witness them being surprised at themselves when they realize they have learned new skills and techniques.
4) Continue tutoring sessions until the tutee (and/or parent/guardian) determines they have gotten what they need to out of tutoring. (I remain accessible if they determine they would like to brush up on some concepts, especially before a big test. But even if they do not reach out after our last formal session, I always wish them the best.)

Ex: If you request Algebra 1 tutoring and are 17 miles away from me, 5 miles there and back (10 miles) are no charge. The remaining 7 miles there and back (14 miles) will cost an additional $14. A one-hour session of tutoring would be $35+$14 = $49. A two-hour session would be $35x2 + $14 = $84.
Reach out if you have any questions. Thank you!
