About Ester

Hi, I'm Ester.
I am a qualified yoga teacher (Hatha/Vinyasa 300+ hours) and have taught yoga, dance and Pilates classes for many organisations, including community wellbeing projects, schools, dance schools and NHS programmes. Alongside my teaching, I am currently training as a therapist, which has deepened my understanding of the connection between body, mind and the nervous system.

After 20 years of professional experience practising and teaching yoga, ballet, contemporary dance, Pilates and Barre Sculpt, I have experienced both the physical and as well as the emotional demands of a professional dance and performance career which made me more interested in wellbeing, recovery and nervous system regulation. Movement should help you feel more at home in and in relation with your body and mind rather than it being a means to an end. I look forward to helping you connect to your body with yoga and with Pilates elements.

About the lesson

My lessons combine elements of yoga and Pilates and focus on helping you improve strength, posture, balance, mobility and body awareness and nervous system regulation rather than achieving perfect poses or extreme flexibility.

Lessons can range from 30 to 90 minutes depending on your needs, goals and preferences. I teach beginners, intermediate students and older adults, as well as people returning to exercise after injury, illness, stress or a long break from movement.

Whether you are looking to build strength, improve mobility, reduce stress or reconnect with your body, I can adapt my classes collaboratively to your individual needs and goals.
