About Sasha

(French below.) Once a serious runner, I first discovered yoga in 2008 after a running injury. My yoga practice began as a way for me to rehab my injury and get back to running. Since then, yoga has become a way for me to come back to myself, to cultivate compassion for myself and for others, and to find inner strength and peace. I started my business, "Do Yoga With Sasha", in early 2018 and regularly host weekend Hatha Yoga classes at Parc de l'Orangerie in Strasbourg. Long passionate about running, I discovered yoga in 2008 following a sports injury. In the beginning, yoga was for me a means of healing and rehabilitation and allowed me to continue the race. Since then, yoga has become a way of better finding myself with myself, cultivating compassion for myself and for others, and finding inner peace. I created my company "Do Yoga With Sasha" in 2018 and I regularly offer Hatha Yoga classes at the weekend at Parc de l'Orangerie in Strasbourg.

About the lesson

Hello! (French below.) My name is Sasha, and I am originally from Southern California in the United States. I teach private and group Hatha yoga classes in ENGLISH. I completed my 200-hour Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training course in Rishikesh, India in June 2017. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance. I practice and teach Traditional Hatha Yoga. My classes typically follow this structure: centering; breathing exercises (Pranayama); full-body warm-up (including Sun Salutations); core sequence (a variety of standing, kneeling, squatting, supine, and prone postures); final relaxation. Each class is tailored to students' unique skills and abilities, and I always offer modifications for each posture. I hope to share my passion for yoga and help others in their quest for greater self-awareness and knowledge by making yoga accessible to people of all ages and abilities. English: I am Sasha, a native of southern California in the United States. I offer individual and collective Hatha Yoga classes in ENGLISH. (I speak fluent French but am more comfortable teaching in English.) I did my 200-hour training of Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga in Rishikesh, India in June 2017. I am a certified teacher (RYT-200) by Yoga Alliance. I practice and teach traditional Hatha yoga. Each class is adapted according to the students and modifications of each posture are also proposed.
