I am a 20 year old UQ student who has taken private piano tutoring for 12 years. I have taught piano for two years to four different students who greatly expanded their piano knowledge and performance skills with my guidance.

My teaching method is for students to develop a connection to the piano through the kinds of music they personally enjoy. I will integrate music theory into the practice of my students, so they can learn how to improvise and potentially write their own music. A half hour lesson will consist of learning and practicing scales to expand their music repertoire, practicing of several songs - recommended by me, but chosen by the students - and sight reading practice with a short game to finish.
