About Zara
I bring over 8 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics to my tutoring practice. I specialize in helping IB and A-Level students achieve success through clarity and structure. My focus is always on conceptual understanding, ensuring students know why methods work and how to apply them. I place particular emphasis on Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, areas where solid foundations lead to exam success. By teaching multiple problem-solving strategies, I help students adapt to a wide range of question styles. Past paper practice plays a major role in my lessons, building familiarity, accuracy, and exam technique. I aim to develop both knowledge and confidence. My lessons are interactive and supportive, giving students a safe space to explore and ask questions. I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs. I teach mathematics with an emphasis on clarity, application, and computational thinking. My lessons are relaxed yet structured, designed to build confidence step by step. Programming analogies are used to make abstract concepts simple and memorable. I guide Architect learners by showing them how to structure reasoning effectively. For Proof Seekers, I provide support in building logical, step-by-step explanations. I encourage open communication, allowing students to explain their thinking in natural language. This reduces stress and builds confidence. Past paper practice is central to my teaching, as it prepares students for the structure and style of real exams. I also include coding-style challenges to connect maths to real-world applications. Mistakes are treated as opportunities for growth. Every problem is broken down into smaller, achievable steps.
