About Alisa
I am a dedicated high school student with a 4.0 GPA. I've always loved and excelled in math, working as a student tutor in my own school. In addition, I have mentorship experience working with middle schoolers and lots of leadership experience.

I like to work with kids by meeting them where they are. I'll typically ask to see their previous work and converse with them to understand areas of improvement and confidence. For math, I present a topic, go through a problem myself, work together with the student on similar problems, and finally ask the student to try independently and explain their steps to me. I strongly believe in strengthening a students ability to communicate their reasoning and understanding with myself and others. My lessons are best suited for elementary and middle school, as well as high school math up to precalculus.
