About Jon
I'm a youth worker and scout leader based in Hatfield, 23 y/o. I've worked with kids since I was... well, a kid. I understand how to motivate children and address the root issues that can hold them back.
I hold a 1st-class Master's from Lancaster, for which my two dissertations were about studies on education. In my day job, I'm a software dev / support technician.

I always try and bring the fun into whatever subject I teach, for I believe a child will learn as much from a single fun lesson as they would from ten boring ones. I also believe in learning 'pen-in-hand' - kids don't learn from looking at PowerPoints or reading textbooks; they learn from practice.
Most importantly, my teaching style is calm and friendly. Kids will feel comfortable and secure in my sessions - vital for fostering an 'I can do it' attitude.
I have a 1st-class Master's degree from Lancaster University in Computer Science, specialising in CS education. I've 6 years experience in youth work & scouting, and have worked as a volunteer TA.
I offer tuition in Computer Science & Maths up to A-level, and Physics up to GCSE level.
