About Tegan
I am a dedicated STEM tutor and biology major with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. Through my coursework in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and advanced scientific analysis, I have developed a deep understanding of complex scientific concepts and how to communicate them clearly.

As a STEM tutor, my approach focuses on making complex concepts understandable, engaging, and applicable. I believe that students learn best when they actively participate, so I emphasize breaking down difficult material into manageable steps while encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a combination of conceptual teaching and practice-based learning. First, I explain the “why” behind concepts so students truly understand the material rather than memorizing it. Then, I guide them through examples and gradually shift responsibility to them through practice problems. I also use visual aids, real-world analogies, and step-by-step walkthroughs to simplify abstract topics. I adapt my teaching style based on the student’s learning preferences—whether they are visual, auditory, or hands-on learners.
